Inaugural Autonomous Week Kicks Off in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi has launched its first Autonomous Week, marking a significant milestone in showcasing the emirate’s commitment to smart and autonomous mobility. Running from November 10 to 15, 2025, this week-long event brings together innovators, policymakers, and industry experts from around the world to discuss advancements in autonomous technology and transportation solutions.

The inaugural ceremony featured His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs and Chairman of the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council (SASC), alongside His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The two dignitaries officially inaugurated the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Summit, designed to explore innovative trends in mobility, AI, and robotics.

During the summit, attendees participated in 13 panel discussions featuring over 30 renowned speakers, focusing on how autonomous systems are revolutionizing transportation. The talks emphasized transforming strategic concepts into actionable initiatives that enhance efficiency and contribute to a sustainable, knowledge-driven economy.

His Highness also visited the DRIFTx exhibition, organized by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), showcasing groundbreaking innovations from both local and international firms. Live demonstrations included ground-based autonomous systems, drone logistics solutions, and intelligent marine freight technologies, underscoring the progress being made in autonomous transport and supply chain management.
