Abu Dhabi Gaming Teams Up with ASPIRE to Enhance AI in Gaming

Abu Dhabi Gaming has formed a strategic alliance with ASPIRE, aiming to fast-track artificial intelligence (AI) integration into game development while reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s stature as a prominent center for technology and creative entertainment.

The agreement was inked at the A2RL Summit hosted at ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi by His Excellency Saeed Ali Obaid Al Fazari, Executive Director of the Strategic Affairs Sector at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), alongside Stephane Timpano, CEO of ASPIRE.

This collaboration seeks to merge the flourishing ecosystem of Abu Dhabi Gaming with the pioneering research capabilities of ASPIRE to nurture game development innovations. The focus will be on avant-garde gamification initiatives and amplifying AI adoption within the gaming arena.

As a part of the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), ASPIRE is adept at pinpointing industry hurdles and transforming cutting-edge technologies into viable solutions. This partnership will grant gaming startups and established studios access to state-of-the-art tools, technical knowledge, and innovative technologies, driving new concepts to market.

His Excellency Saeed Ali Obaid Al Fazari emphasized that this collaboration harnesses world-class research alongside Abu Dhabi’s burgeoning gaming sector, paving the way for novel innovation opportunities, talent cultivation, and economic diversification. He added that this initiative would bolster the growth of gaming companies, support creators, and secure Abu Dhabi’s reputation as a hub for interactive entertainment and the digital landscape.

The partnership also illustrates Abu Dhabi Gaming’s dedication to fostering economic expansion through creative industries. It aims to catalyze collaboration among UAE-based developers and leading international technology and gaming firms, fostering innovation, knowledge exchange, and industry growth.

Stephane Timpano, CEO of ASPIRE, mentioned that gaming has emerged as a vital sector for artificial intelligence and the digital economy due to its reliance on prompt decision-making, sophisticated simulations, and creative talent. He highlighted that this partnership would expedite AI adoption, enhance local capabilities, and facilitate the creation of scalable intellectual property.
