Abu Dhabi Customs has unveiled its Annual Performance Report for 2025, showcasing impressive strides in trade enhancement, service excellence, and operational efficiency across the emirate.
The report indicates that Abu Dhabi Customs achieved an overall organizational performance score of 93 percent, along with perfect strategic performance at 100 percent in 2025. This achievement was assessed through 31 strategic performance indicators, underscoring effective planning, execution, and alignment with the economic growth objectives of Abu Dhabi.
This authority also fully met all strategic indicators linked to the economic sector of the Abu Dhabi Plan, bolstering its role in propelling the emirate's long-term economic aspirations.
A standout feature of the report is the significant rise in non-oil foreign trade. In 2025, Abu Dhabi's non-oil trade hit AED415.4 billion, representing a remarkable 36 percent increase compared to 2024. The number of customs declarations climbed by 17 percent, signifying ongoing growth in trading activities and reaffirming Abu Dhabi’s status as a pivotal global business and investment hub.
The report also highlighted robust metrics in customer satisfaction and employee environment, with Abu Dhabi Customs securing 91 percent on the employee engagement index and 94 percent in service quality. Satisfaction levels among clearing agents and traders also reached 94 percent, reflecting the authority's commitment to streamlining customs processes and enhancing the customer journey.
The authority attributed these encouraging outcomes to its emphasis on innovation, the deployment of advanced technologies, and proactive strategies. It further stated that its smart customs ecosystem actively supports sustainable business practices and strengthens the resilience of the trade sector.
Abu Dhabi Customs reiterated its determination to continually refine customs services and cultivate partnerships with both public and private entities to elevate Abu Dhabi’s competitive edge in global customs and logistics.
