2025 Para Shooting World Cup Set for Al Ain, UAE

The World Shooting Para Sport World Cup is set to take place in Al Ain from October 25 to November 5, 2025, showcasing athletic talent from around the globe at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting, and Golf Club. The championship aims to elevate the profile of para sports and promote inclusion and excellence among athletes with disabilities.

This prestigious event is coordinated by the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, in collaboration with the International Paralympic Committee and the World Shooting Para Sport Federation, under the esteemed patronage of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.

A total of 370 participants, representing 37 countries, will join the competition, including 213 athletes across various categories specifically tailored for men, women, and visually impaired individuals. Athletes will compete in 43 events, showcasing their extraordinary skills and determination on an international platform.

Disciplines featured will include air pistol, air rifle, small-bore rifle, and shotgun events, adhering to consummate international regulations to ensure fairness and accuracy. This marks the UAE's eighth time hosting this renowned championship, solidifying its stature in the world of para-sports.

Abdullah Abdulali Al Humaidan, the Director-General of the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, remarked that hosting this event reflects the steadfast trust the International Paralympic Committee and World Shooting Para Sport Federation have in the UAE’s renowned organizational prowess and world-class facilities for inclusive sports.

Aref Hamad Al Awani, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, stated that the championship is in line with the UAE leadership’s vision of enhancing the nation's global sports footprint. This event is a significant opportunity for People of Determination to showcase their talents and earn international recognition.

Abdullah Ismail Al Kamali, Executive Director of the People of Determination Sector at Zayed Authority and Chairman of the Championship’s Supreme Organising Committee, expressed his appreciation for the continuous support from the UAE leadership concerning People of Determination. He emphasized the championship's prominent status on the international para-sport calendar, attributed to the UAE’s unwavering success in organizing such events.
