Yas Marina Circuit has finalized a multi-million-dirham renovation of its race control room in preparation for the 2025 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. This revamped facility aims to boost the quickness of decision-making, elevate safety protocols, and improve comfort for a team of 28 officials.

The transformation introduces a digital setup that offers immediate access to 55 camera feeds, timing apparatus, race documentation, and broadcast outputs via tablet controls. This innovation streamlines processes by reducing the need for additional equipment and facilitates seamless integration for visiting championship events.

Enhanced ergonomics, adjustable LED lighting, and bespoke desk designs are tailored to promote focus and clarity during critical operations. Stuart Latham, Yas Marina’s Safety and Operations Director, noted that the facility surpasses FIA standards, positioning it as one of the globe's most technologically advanced race control centers.

The upgraded control room made its inaugural appearance at the Yas Racing Series (31 Oct–2 Nov) and will be instrumental for the 2025/2026 motorsport season, encompassing events like the Formula 4 Middle East, Asian Le Mans Series, Lenovo Gulf 12 Hours, and the Autonomous Racing Series. The highly anticipated 2025 Abu Dhabi GP is scheduled from 5–7 December.
