PM Modi Embarks on Diplomatic Tour to Jordan, Ethiopia, and Oman

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a diplomatic mission to Jordan, Ethiopia, and Oman from December 15 to 18, 2025, aiming to fortify India's connections with key partners in Africa and the Middle East. His journey will commence in Jordan, where he will meet King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein on December 15–16, at the King's invitation. This visit coincides with the celebration of 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Jordan, providing an opportunity to broaden cooperation and reaffirm India’s dedication to peace and stability in the region.

Next, on December 16–17, the Prime Minister will proceed to Ethiopia for a State visit, encouraged by Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali. This marks Modi's inaugural trip to Ethiopia, where both leaders are expected to engage in comprehensive discussions aimed at strengthening the partnership as pivotal members of the Global South. Their dialogue will focus on enhancing their mutual commitment to friendship and development cooperation.

Lastly, from December 17–18, Modi will visit Oman at the invitation of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. This will be his second visit to Oman, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The trip seeks to reinforce the close Strategic Partnership formed through historic ties, trade, and cultural connections. During this meeting, both sides will evaluate collaborative efforts in various fields such as energy, defense, investment, security, technology, agriculture, and culture, while also discussing regional and global matters relevant to their interests.
