In the second half, Michigan maintained their aggressive play. Gayle landed another three-pointer, bringing the score to 85-52 with just under ten minutes remaining. Late in the game, Winters Grady's three-pointer swelled the lead to 100-65, showcasing Michigan’s shooting prowess at 51.5% overall and 40% from three-point territory. In contrast, Auburn struggled, finishing with only 35.5% and 41.7% shooting rates respectively.

Key factors for Michigan included a strong rebounding game and fastbreak points, outrebounding Auburn 51-35 and dominating fastbreak scoring 29-3. Trey McKenney contributed with 11 points while L.J. Cason had 10 points and three steals, emphasizing the team's collective effort.

For Auburn, top scorers included Pettiford with 16 points, Keyshawn Hall at 15, Filip Jovic with 13, and KeShawn Murphy adding 12, yet they could not match Michigan’s fervor and intensity.

This victory marked Michigan's second significant win in as many nights following their prior 94-54 defeat of San Diego State, showcasing a total tournament point margin of +40. Michigan is set to face a yet-to-be-determined opponent in the championship showdown later on Tuesday night.

The Wolverines' impressive shooting, swift transitions, and collaborative play underscored their dominance. With remarkable performances from Lendeborg, Gayle, Burnett, and Johnson Jr., Michigan stands primed to challenge for the tournament title, setting a high benchmark both offensively and defensively for the championship match.
