The Butheeb International Endurance Village in Al Khatm, Abu Dhabi, proudly hosts the UAE President’s Endurance Cup, a premier equestrian event in the nation. Spanning four days from Thursday to Sunday, this championship draws significant interest from horse owners, riders, and fans alike throughout the UAE.

This remarkable event features four endurance races, tailored for various rider categories. The three primary races—the Private Owners race, Ladies race, and the Giants Cup—each cover a distance of 100 kilometers. Additionally, an open endurance race has been introduced, covering an impressive 120 kilometers, presenting a formidable challenge to seasoned competitors.

Supervised by the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation (UAEERF), the organization of all races reflects the increasing popularity of endurance riding in the UAE and the national community's solid backing for equestrian sports.

Preparations for this event commenced well in advance. Horses competing in the Private Owners race underwent thorough veterinary inspections to ensure their wellness, while riders were weighed, and final entries were confirmed in accordance with competition regulations and international standards.

Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, who presides over the UAEERF, expressed that the UAE President’s Endurance Cup occupies a cherished position in the hearts of participants in the sport. He noted that this event signifies gratitude and loyalty to the nation’s wise leadership for its unwavering support of athletes and growth in sports.

He further emphasized that endurance racing symbolizes the UAE’s profound cultural ties with horses and showcases the country’s dedication to advancing equestrian sports. This championship continues to motivate riders while reinforcing the UAE’s status as a global epicenter for endurance racing.
