Two 19-year-old men have been charged after a taxi driver was shot dead in North Battleford
The founder of Zomato and CEO of Eternal, Deepinder Goyal, has introduced a teaser for his innovative device known as Temple. This compact gadget is designed to track brain blood flow continuously. In a recent Instagram post featuring the device, Goyal captioned, “Getting there,” sparking significant curiosity among followers. Observers also noted him wearing a small golden device on his right temple, confirming its role in his ongoing research efforts.
In a prior LinkedIn update, Goyal elaborated on Temple, describing it as an experimental apparatus aimed at accurately measuring brain blood flow over time. The creation of this device aligns with his exploration of the Gravity Ageing Hypothesis, a theory he proposed last month suggesting that gravity could influence the ageing process. He emphasized that his motivation was rooted in scientific curiosity rather than corporate identity, speculating that gravity might affect longevity through its impact on the brain.
Goyal outlined three interconnected scientific aspects: the minor reductions in blood flow experienced when upright, the vulnerability of critical brain areas like the hypothalamus and brainstem, and their roles in regulating ageing. This led him to investigate whether consistent monitoring of brain blood flow could yield insights into the ageing process. Thus, the Temple device was born.
Despite discussions regarding the Gravity Ageing Hypothesis, Goyal maintains that Temple holds intrinsic value. Notably, he has utilized the device for a year and asserts that it could evolve into a significant health asset on a global scale. He highlighted that tracking brain blood flow is already established as an indicator of cognitive performance, ageing, and longevity. Consequently, Temple remains relevant regardless of the fate of his gravity theory. Additionally, Goyal refuted any allegations that he devised this hypothesis merely to market the device, assuring stakeholders that he prioritizes trust over gimmicks.
He further stated that Temple would be a smaller endeavor compared to Eternal and that his pursuit is centered on genuine scientific investigation rather than commercial gain. The research surrounding Temple is conducted by Continue Research, which focuses on human existence and the ageing journey. Goyal revealed that his team has dedicated two years to investigating biological research, ageing science, and strategies to decelerate human ageing. As the excitement builds, Temple is increasingly recognized as a unique fusion of health innovation and profound scientific inquiry.
