Arizona Photographer Snaps Incredible Skydiver Against the Sun

In an extraordinary photograph, Andrew McCarthy, a photographer from Arizona, has captured a skydiver in perfect alignment with the vibrant surface of the Sun. This remarkable image, titled “The Fall of Icarus”, was taken on November 8 as musician and skydiver Gabriel Brown jumped from a small propeller aircraft at around 3,500 feet.

McCarthy was located approximately 8,000 feet away, describing the timing as “absolutely preposterous.” He emphasized the level of precision and planning that went into capturing such an incredible moment. Astonishingly, this was his first attempt, underscoring both his skill and preparation.

The image quickly gained traction online, with viewers lauding its creativity and technical skill. Many social media users referred to it as “insanely epic” and “magnificent,” recognizing the effort behind the shot.
