Abu Dhabi, UAE – Aldar has established a strategic partnership with the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an, designed for a duration of three years. This collaboration emphasizes Aldar's dedication to advancing the social welfare agenda in Abu Dhabi through impactful initiatives aimed at enhancing community resilience.
The signing ceremony prominently featured His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Aldar, along with His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development. The official agreement was signed by Talal Al Dhiyebi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Aldar, and His Excellency Abdullah Humaid Al Ameri, Director General of Ma’an.
Key Initiatives Included in the Partnership:
Blue Collar Activation Programme: Aimed at enhancing job opportunities for blue-collar workers.
Thrive Scholarship Fund: A collaborative effort with Ma’an to broaden educational support for students.
Social Impact Fund: An initiative targeting measurable social change in the community.
Employee Volunteering & In-Kind Support: Aldar team members will partake in community initiatives, while Aldar's loyalty platform, Darna, will facilitate digital engagement for social benefits.
Talal Al Dhiyebi remarked, “At Aldar, social impact is an essential responsibility. Our collaboration with Ma’an exemplifies how the private sector can generate scalable, inclusive solutions that align with the UAE’s larger social objectives. We are dedicated to achieving meaningful results in education, employment, and community welfare.”
His Excellency Abdullah Humaid Al Ameri stated, “This partnership enables Ma’an to effectively direct contributions to projects that meet Abu Dhabi’s primary social needs, ultimately improving quality of life for residents and nurturing a cooperative community ethos.”
Since its inception in 2020, Aldar’s partnership with Ma’an has had a positive influence on nearly 3,000 individuals through 11 projects in healthcare, education, infrastructure, and social services. This includes the introduction of the region's first Social Impact Bonds aimed at enhancing job opportunities for local talent and aiding families and People of Determination in Abu Dhabi.
The partnership underscores the effectiveness of public and private sector collaboration in achieving Abu Dhabi’s vision for a sustainable, inclusive, and socially conscious future. Together, Aldar and Ma’an aspire to develop innovative models of social contribution that align with UAE priorities and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
