Final state assessments have officially started at higher education facilities across Turkmenistan, representing a crucial milestone for countless students completing their academic journeys in the 2025–2026 academic year. These assessments mark the concluding phase before graduates transition into professional roles or further studies.
Among the earliest institutions to debut the examination session is Magtymguly Turkmen State University, a premier educational center in the nation. Officials described these exams as a pivotal phase that gauges the knowledge, skills, and competencies gathered by students during their academic tenures.
To uphold transparency and ensure academic integrity, the university has set up 21 State Examination Committees tasked with overseeing the assessment processes. These committees comprise seasoned scholars from the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, experts from specialized institutions, government ministry representatives, and senior educators from various universities nationwide.
This year, 1,879 students are projected to graduate from Magtymguly Turkmen State University, including specialists, bachelor's and master’s degree candidates, spanning over 30 academic fields. The exams aim to evaluate both theoretical and practical skills pertinent to their disciplines.
University officials highlighted that the education received by graduates aligns with Turkmenistan's long-term development strategies.
