Thailand’s Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has officially landed in Paris to kick off a pivotal diplomatic and economic journey aimed at enhancing Thailand’s global partnerships and reinforcing its interests across Europe.

As per announcements from the Prime Minister's Office, the Thai delegation arrived at Paris-Orly International Airport early Friday morning. This team comprises senior ministers in finance, foreign affairs, and culture, underscoring the visit’s strategic significance.

One of the initial highlights will be a meeting with the Director-General of the International Energy Agency, focusing on boosting Thailand’s energy security amidst global supply chain challenges and heightened international energy issues.

The Prime Minister is slated to engage with UNESCO officials to enhance cultural collaboration and showcase Thai heritage and soft power internationally. Officials believe that cultural diplomacy is vital for fostering global recognition and maximizing tourism opportunities.

Additionally, during this visit, the Thai leader plans to connect with the local Thai community in France, participating in religious observances honoring Queen Rambhai Barni. Meetings are also scheduled with Thai business representatives engaged in sectors like food production and sustainable packaging.

On the economic front, talks with key players from the French private sector are anticipated, especially in industries such as aerospace and medical technology, aiming to secure investments and enhance trade collaboration between Thailand and France.

A key feature of this visit will be a formal dinner organized by French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace, where both leaders are expected to focus on improving bilateral relations, economic partnerships, and future collaborations.

This diplomatic initiative is viewed as a critical step in Thailand’s broader strategy to bolster its ties with Europe, while advancing collaboration in energy, culture, technology, and investment during a time of global economic unpredictability.
