On Friday, Qatar’s Hajj mission team departed for Saudi Arabia, as announced by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, marking the start of this year’s pilgrimage preparations.
This delegation's journey follows the arrival of multiple support teams already stationed in the Kingdom, tasked with finalizing field setups and ensuring that all arrangements are in place for Qatari pilgrims.
Ali bin Sultan Al Misifri, who is the Director of the Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs as well as the Deputy Head of the Qatari Hajj Mission, noted that the mission will run from its base located in the Al Naseem area of Makkah. This will allow for effective coordination with Qatari Hajj organizations and local Saudi authorities to ensure seamless services for the pilgrims.
He elaborated that various specialized teams will collaborate throughout the pilgrimage period. These groups will provide religious guidance, medical assistance, logistical support, inspection services, communication, and technical aid to assist pilgrims at every step of their journey.
The ministry highlighted that the primary aim of this mission is to ensure Qatari pilgrims can perform Hajj safely, comfortably, and without any complications. Moreover, this initiative is an integral part of the ministry's long-term strategy spanning from 2025 to 2030, designed to enhance both Hajj and Umrah services as well as the overall pilgrimage experience for citizens and residents of Qatar.
