15th Public Prosecution Training Program Kicks Off at Dubai Judicial Institute

The Dubai Judicial Institute (DJI) has officially commenced its 15th cohort for the training program titled “Judicial and Legal Studies for Public Prosecution Members.” This initiative underscores DJI's commitment to nurturing homegrown talent and enhancing the skills of Dubai's future legal experts.

The ceremony welcomed prominent figures, including His Excellency Counsellor Essam Issa Al Humaidan, Attorney General of Dubai and Chairman of DJI, alongside Her Excellency Judge Dr. Ebtessam Ali Al Badwawi, Director General of DJI, and various senior officials from the Public Prosecution.

This latest cohort comprises 22 Emirati trainees selected for engagement with the Public Prosecution. The strategic design of the program integrates academic instruction, hands-on application, and professional growth, aiming to equip participants with the competencies necessary for effective judicial performance.

In his address, H.E. Counsellor Essam Issa Al Humaidan emphasized the significance of accredited training for Public Prosecution personnel. He mentioned how such initiatives help broaden judicial knowledge and enhance specialised skills, streamlining the handling of judicial obligations.

He reiterated that these efforts align with the aspirations of Dubai's leadership to empower local talent and position the emirate as a beacon of judicial integrity and efficiency. The cooperation among judicial bodies and the dedication of trainers were also commended for their pivotal role in the program's achievements.

H.E. Judge Dr. Ebtessam Ali Al Badwawi remarked that the launch of the 15th cohort signifies DJI's continuous advancements in specialized training and commitment to developing national talent. She pointed out the program's vital role in equipping future Public Prosecution members with robust legal insights and practical capabilities.

She framed the advancement of Public Prosecution members as a strategic investment in the future of justice, mentioning that DJI persistently enhances its programs through collaboration with seasoned judicial experts. This ensures a high-caliber educational experience that supports the ongoing excellence of Dubai's judicial landscape.

The training initiative spans six months, encompassing 450 training hours and corresponding to 30 accredited credit hours under the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). Its curriculum blends theoretical instruction with practical exercises and focuses on specialized criminal disciplines to prepare attendees for the evolving judicial landscape.

Furthermore, during the event, DJI acknowledged the trainers who had facilitated the previous 14th cohort under the theme “Pioneers of Training Excellence: A Lasting Impact,” honoring their commitment to imparting judicial knowledge to future generations of Emirati professionals.

Through these accredited offerings, the Dubai Judicial Institute constantly asserts its status as a premier judicial training provider.
