Police in Toronto have announced a reward of up to $25,000 in connection with a shooting at Fairview Mall, as authorities continue an intensive search for a suspect believed to be involved in multiple violent crimes. According to the Toronto Police Service, the suspect—identified as Kyle Douglas Prouse—is wanted in connection with a robbery that took place on April 21. Investigators say the 53-year-old entered the mall shortly after opening hours with the intention of robbing a jewelry store. During the incident, a security guard confronted the suspect and was shot.

Police stated that the suspect fled the scene in a white van, which was later recovered, before allegedly switching to a black sedan to continue his escape. Authorities believe the incident is part of a broader pattern of criminal activity rather than an isolated case.

Investigators revealed that Prouse is suspected of carrying out at least six separate robberies and break-ins since 2023, targeting banks and jewelry stores across Ontario and Quebec.
