Dubai Chambers has unveiled the Executive Committee for Agentic AI, a strategic initiative designed to enhance the private sector's integration of advanced artificial intelligence, thereby bolstering its competitive edge on a global scale.

This undertaking follows the recent launch led by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. The goal is to facilitate the private sector's advancement towards Agentic AI—an innovative class of AI systems capable of executing tasks and making decisions autonomously.

In its inaugural online meeting, chaired by H.E. Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers and Executive Committee for Agentic AI, key figures like H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, participated, highlighting the initiative's significance.

Enhancing Competitive Edge

Al Mansoori emphasized Dubai's unwavering commitment to innovation and strengthening its private sector. He pointed out that adopting Agentic AI is part of Dubai’s strategic vision to embrace technology that contributes to a resilient, sustainable economy.

The initiative aims to improve companies' operational efficiencies, boost productivity, and foster growth within sectors poised for the future.

A robust framework is currently being devised to support the committee's objectives, including specialized training programs for Business Councils and the establishment of AI-focused incubators, along with enhanced collaboration between public and private sectors to promote digital transformation.

Envisioning a Tech-Forward Economy

Omar Sultan Al Olama noted that this initiative aligns with H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision for Dubai to be a pioneering technology hub.

The development of an ecosystem driven by Agentic AI will enable enhancements in both public and private sectors, promoting efficiency and fostering innovation while keeping pace with global technological trends.

Al Olama added that this transformation will play a crucial role in building a knowledge-centric, tech-oriented digital economy, catalyzing the growth of advanced AI solutions, supporting startups, and positioning Dubai as a leader in the global digital landscape.

Committee's Core Functions

The Executive Committee for Agentic AI will monitor the rollout of a comprehensive two-year strategy for AI adoption, which encompasses:

  • Sanctioning specialized training programs for Business Groups and Councils.

  • Establishing incubators for firms specializing in Agentic AI.

  • Facilitating support for businesses utilizing Agentic AI technologies.

  • Creating dedicated funding initiatives to assist enterprises transitioning to Agentic AI.

  • Encouraging sharing of knowledge and skill development within Dubai's business ecosystem.

This initiative marks a pivotal advancement in Dubai's commitment to promoting AI, undergoing digital transformation, and fostering sustainable economic growth, reinforcing the global positioning of its private sector.
