Dubai, UAE – The Knowledge Fund Establishment (KFE) has partnered once more with Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), offering AED 11 million to support the “Dubai Schools” initiative for the 2026–2027 academic term.

This renewal signifies DIB's dedication to enhancing educational standards and aligns with Dubai's national development objectives.

The funding is aimed at increasing access to affordable and quality education for Emirati students. It also seeks to cultivate a youth workforce prepared to thrive in essential sectors, bolstering the UAE’s position on the global stage.

This initiative is closely aligned with key Dubai strategies such as the Dubai Social Agenda 33, Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), and the Education 33 Strategy, which prioritize a modernized education system rooted in innovation and national identity.

Both KFE and DIB emphasized the vital role of public-private partnerships in advancing educational initiatives and fostering long-lasting social development. This partnership is particularly significant in the UAE's “Year of the Family,” as it enhances educational opportunities for Emirati families.

His Excellency Abdulla Mohammed Al Awar, CEO of KFE, remarked that this collaboration exemplifies effective public and private sector synergy, preparing a skilled generation ready to support the UAE's future.

Obaid Al Shamsi, COO of DIB, noted that investing in education equates to investing in the nation’s prosperity. He emphasized that aiding Emirati students fosters social progress, economic stability, and sustainability.

Additionally, KFE disclosed plans to advance the Dubai Schools project, with the second phase of the Nad Al Sheba campus expansion slated for completion by July. This project aims to accommodate a total of 15,000 students by the academic year 2032–2033.

Officials conveyed that support from the private sector, like DIB’s ongoing contributions, is crucial to the project's expansion and the establishment of a robust educational framework for Emirati families across Dubai.
