The seized items included a range of drugs such as marijuana, crystal methamphetamine, hashish, and cannabis concentrate known as “shatter.” In addition, authorities recovered tobacco products, drug-related equipment, an edged weapon, and several mobile phones along with their accessories.

The total estimated institutional value of the seized items is approximately $1.1 million, highlighting the scale of the attempted smuggling operation. Officials noted that such contraband poses serious risks to the safety and security of both inmates and staff within correctional facilities.

These include ion scanners to detect traces of drugs and the use of trained detector dogs to search buildings, visitors, personal belongings, and inmates.
