Céline Dion has officially announced her return to the concert stage, marking a major moment in her career after stepping away from live performances due to health challenges. The global music icon shared the news on her 58th birthday, revealing that she will perform a series of concerts in Paris later this year.
According to her announcement, Dion will perform two shows per week from September 12 to October 14 at the Paris La Défense Arena, one of Europe’s largest indoor venues. The venue has a capacity of around 40,000 people, making it a significant stage for her long-awaited comeback.
In a heartfelt video message shared with fans, Dion expressed her excitement about returning to perform live again. She described the opportunity as one of the most meaningful moments of her life and said she is ready to reconnect with her audience after a long break.
The singer had stepped away from touring in 2022 after being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare condition that affects muscle control and can impact a person’s ability to move and sing. Due to this condition, she cancelled her Courage World Tour and took time off to focus on treatment and recovery.
Despite her health struggles, Dion made a brief return to the stage in July 2024 during the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, where she delivered a powerful performance that reassured fans about her gradual recovery. She also appeared later that year at a special event in Saudi Arabia, further building anticipation for a full comeback.
In recent days, excitement around her return had been growing after mysterious posters featuring her song lyrics appeared across Paris. The speculation was confirmed when Dion officially announced the concert residency, which will include a total of 10 shows.
Ticket pre-sales for the concerts are set to begin on April 7, with general sales opening on April 10. Fans from around the world are expected to attend, as this marks her first full series of live performances in several years.
Dion credited her fans for supporting her throughout her journey, especially during difficult times. She acknowledged that their encouragement played a key role in her recovery and motivation to return to the stage.
Her comeback is being seen as a powerful moment not just for her career, but also for her fans worldwide, who have been waiting for her return since she stepped away from the spotlight
