The Endowment and Minors’ Trust Foundation in Dubai, known as Awqaf Dubai, has successfully allocated AED 74.7 million from its endowment investment returns for the year 2025 to various government and semi-government entities that were behind the establishment of these funds.
These funds have been distributed amongst nine different beneficiary organisations, which include the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD), the Community Development Authority (CDA), the Dubai Club for People of Determination, the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), and the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC), along with several other entities.
The endowment resources are aimed at fulfilling essential needs in sectors such as healthcare, education, and social development, aiding efforts in medical research, educational initiatives, care services for People of Determination, and various humanitarian projects throughout Dubai.
Awqaf Dubai endeavors to manage and invest endowment assets with the highest institutional standards of governance. The foundation adheres to robust governance and investment frameworks, ensuring that sustainable returns and long-term benefits are achieved for the beneficiary organisations.
Officials noted that this structured system facilitates the effective management of endowment assets while maximizing their social impact, thereby ensuring that there is a continual flow of funding available for approved community and development initiatives.
His Excellency Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary General of Awqaf Dubai, remarked that the foundation is enhancing the endowment ecosystem through improved investment strategies and administrative processes.
He emphasized that these endowments exemplify a robust model of community collaboration, providing crucial support for healthcare, educational, social welfare, and empowerment initiatives for People of Determination.
Al Mutawa further elaborated that Awqaf Dubai employs a governance-oriented, transparent, and sustainable strategy, ensuring that beneficiary organisations can continue to achieve their humanitarian and social missions effectively.
The foundation also underscored its ongoing partnerships with government and semi-government entities to broaden the scope of endowment-driven development projects, fostering a culture of sustainable giving and aligning with Dubai's overarching social and economic objectives.
